Ann,

I had you as one of my preferences in the voting. You were always on the back foot due in no small measure to the AWS.

Reading your CV, as a relatively young man who is ambitious at 28 but unable to stand (nor with the experience anyway) I am impressed with your status and success. As a committed blogger myself, just seeing you write for the Huffington Post is pretty amazing, as it is the largest blog in the world, or one of them.

Good luck for the future.

Ann, Since the pop over 50 is growing faster than any other, is there any chance you can tap into this vote? While there is concern

about issues for the over-50s, there is widespread appreciation in some quarters about the plight of the planet and the young. According to some

reports, almost 50% of young black males are unemployed. This is a scandal. And having them able to find work in a green environment will be good

for us all.

But how will you avoid the impact of vested interests that will inevitably be against you?

I think this is terrific Ann. I agree with your approach. It may be right that the tribalists in the Labour Party may not look kindly

on someone like you, but I think they have become an anachronism and should leave.

I like your graph. The same is generally true for the US

during the war. It was paid off over the following 10 years or so, not 4.

I wish you the best. You won't give up your blog, will you?

Strong words indeed, Ann! If you go into politics with such strong views I'm not sure the Labour Party will actually want you in the

house - you might expose their wooly thinking for what it really is! But all I would say is GO FOR IT!!! What a refreshing change it would be to

have somebody like yourself who has a clear understanding of the economy in the chamber to challenge the conventional thinking. It would make

Parliamentry Television an unmissable experience.

It is incredible to me that anyone would consider standing for parliament without a deep interest and

knowledge of economics. If you were elected, Ann, even if Labour were in opposition, it would give me some hope for the future. You could then put

yourself forward as leader - oh what a wonderful prospect that would be - the thought of Ed Millipede succeeding is too horrible to contemplate. I

think I'd finally have to chuck in my membership then.

Now I know that Compass are worth supporting.
